Our Accommodation Assurance: CONDUCIVE, COMFORTABLE & CONVENIENT
Event Date
At Taylor’s Residence, sustainability is a shared mission that brings together our residents, staff, and partners to build a responsible, thriving, and future-ready community. Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we champion initiatives that shape how our community lives, learns, and leads with purpose.
Our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) approach ensures that every programme delivers measurable impact, strengthening resident well-being, enhancing community resilience, and driving positive change within and beyond our residences.
We are committed to key SDGs that shape our work:
SDG 3 – Good Health & Well-Being: Creating safe and supportive environments that prioritise mental and physical wellness.
SDG 4 – Quality Education: Ensuring inclusive and equitable access to quality education while promoting lifelong learning opportunities. This includes empowering individuals through skills development, digital literacy, and accessible learning environments that support diverse communities.
SDG 5 – Gender Equality: Empowering women and girls through initiatives such as LaunchPad, which addresses menstrual health, education, and access to reusable menstrual products.
SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities: Fostering inclusive communities by reducing social, economic, and opportunity gaps. This involves supporting marginalised groups, promoting equal access to resources, and creating pathways for fair participation in education, employment, and society.
SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities & Communities: Building inclusive, accessible, and resilient living spaces and strengthening our community through multi-award-winning programmes such as LaunchPad, a menstrual health and period-poverty initiative supporting refugee and Indigenous women.
SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption & Production: Encouraging mindful resource use and reducing waste through collective effort.
SDG 13 – Climate Action: Minimising our environmental footprint through sustainable operations and student-led green initiatives.
SDG 15 – Life on Land: Protecting and restoring terrestrial ecosystems through conservation efforts, sustainable land use, and biodiversity protection. This includes raising awareness on environmental stewardship and encouraging initiatives that safeguard natural habitats for future generations.
SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: Collaborating with universities, industry partners, NGOs, and community groups to amplify our positive impact.
These SDGs form the foundation of our purpose, to nurture a community that is greener, healthier, more resilient, and united by shared action and meaningful impact.

To bring these commitments to life, we are driving four key flagship initiatives:
- REGrow – Empowering residents to take part in transforming food waste into usable resources and promotes eco-conscious living through hands-on learning, reinforcing our commitment to responsible consumption and sustainable communities (SDG4, SDG10, SDG 11, SDG 12, SDG 13, SDG 15).
- LaunchPad – Incepted in 2019, our mission is to end menstruation poverty in underrepresented communities by providing reusable pads, menstrual hygiene and sex education (SDG 3, SDG 5, SDG 12, SDG 13, SDG 17).
- Recycling Thursdays – Encouraging mindful waste reduction and responsible resource use, supporting ongoing efforts to reduce ecological footprint (SDG 12, SDG 13, SDG 17).
- Mental Wellbeing Programmes – Providing residents with access to initiatives that promote mental resilience, emotional support, physical fitness, and overall wellness, ensuring a safe and supportive living environment (SDG 3).
Together, these initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to nurturing a greener, healthier, and more socially conscious residential community, one that actively contributes to global goals while enhancing the living experience for all.
